My dream is that someday many Filipinos will turn to the healing and beautifying power of God in nature. I also hope that people will be enlightened so that they will never get sick prematurely and will be able to obtain restoration of health and beauty. I believe that if we go back to nature, we go back to God. Mr. Alvin Almonte- Brand owner
Mission
Our mission is to help people look and feel good by giving them real, expert advice on safe and healthy skin care options. Our advice is based on ancient wisdom from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and Naturopathy, using only plant-based ingredients from Mother Nature.
History
Alvin Almonte founded Rosenda Back to Nature in China in 2022. The company is named after Almonte’s mother, Rosenda. Almonte started following a vegetarian diet in 2008 and has been enthusiastic about living a healthy life ever since. He is dedicated to promoting natural remedies and skincare products. In 2019, Mr. Almonte saw the start of the Covid 19 outbreak in China just 2 months after he arrived there. The virus caused a lot of problems and made many people sick. Mr. Almonte got sick with Covid at one point and couldn’t find a cure until he went to the mountains with his friends to find a special herb called “artemisia annua” or sweet wormwood. He drank the herbal tea and quickly felt better. He understood that turning to natural remedies is better than relying on medications or vaccines. Being passionate about beauty, he wanted to incorporate herbal skincare products into his routine. He began gathering various herbs and testing out how effective they were on the skin by combining them in different ways. He watched videos on YouTube to learn how to create soaps, lotions, and skin care products from scratch. Eventually, he began selling his chocolate soaps infused with various herbs on WeChat.
Turning point
Alvin was worried about the policy for products that weren’t registered and he stopped making and selling chocolate soaps for about 2 years. Then, he ran into a friend who didn’t have a job and wanted some ideas for work. Alvin suggested selling soaps, which he used to do but had stopped. That was when his company started to grow. The business got its license in China by partnering with another company. It has been officially registered in China since 2024 and sells products on Taobao (Alibaba). The company is currently working in the Philippines with a reliable plant-based manufacturer. Rosenda Back to Nature began selling in the Philippines in August 2024, using online marketing platforms such as Facebook and Messenger. The first customer, Ms. Catherine dela Cruz, an OFW in Jordan, ordered 100 boxes of soap.
